The Casio Classpad is now available as an app for both iOS and Android. It can be downloaded at the links below and installed onto your phone or tablet. There is a monthly subscription for the full features, but some modes including the Main, Statistics, Graph & Table + others are available for free. The Casio fx-92B Spéciale Collège along with its sister calculator, the French-labeled fx-92, are calculators designed for the European market. Arguably, the fx-92B may be for the Belgian market due to the languages which are avilable, which include English, French and Dutch. It is similar in design to the Casio Classwiz, but with less features avialable than the fx-991EX model. The modes available from the menu include the standard Calculate mode, Statistics, Table and Equation mode, with a linear simultaneous equation solver.

In addition, the fx-92B has the Verify mode, absent from the 991-EX standard model, but present in both the German and Iberian version of the Classwiz, and Ratio mode. The ratio mode differs slightly from the Classwiz version as it is presented as equivalent fractions rather than comparable ratios.

One of the unique features is the ability to switch off the automatic simplification of fractions. You can input a fraction and use it in its unsimplified version, but you can also use the SIMP feature to simplify the fraction and reveal the factor by which both numerator and denominator were divided.

The calculator also has the saught after GCD (HCF) and LCm functions avilable, although take care to use the semi colon (;) between your values. The comma (,) is treated as a decimal point on this calculator.

This video takes a first look at Casio's new graphical calculator the fx-CG50. The style of the calculator matches that of the Classwiz and I think they make a very complimentary pair.
The fx-CG50 is packed with many features and modes and is very user friendly. I hope to be able to get this model soon, but for now I am just using the emulator.

This video features a review of the key features of the HP10s+ calculator.
It includes looking at the different modes available from the Mode menu, inputting and changing between decimal and fraction answers, percentages, indices or exponents and a brief look at the DEL and π key. The HP10s+ has three modes to complete calculations with. COMP or computational mode for general calculations. and then two statistical modes, one for standard deviation and one for regression.

As with many other models of calculator, you can switch the angle units between degrees, radians and the lesser used gradians. You can alter how numbers are displayed, including switching between decimal and scientific notation and display mode lets you change between displayingan improper fraction or a mixed number in the first instance.

One of the best features of the HP10s+ is that if you are working with decimal numbers then you will get a decimal answer in the first instance.

The fraction button enables you to switch this to a fraction answer if required. The reverse is also true. Input fractions or mixed numbers and you get a fraction (or mixed number) answer in the first instance.

The percentage button is a little trickier. It is best to input a percentage sign at the end of your percentage calculation to get the correct answer. This may be due to the % function being coupled with the equals button.

Some Calculator Guide viewers have asked about the HP10s+ scientific calculator and I had been told that it was a good linear or line display calculator. I got myself a copy of the calculator to investigate the features and functions. This video shows the unboxing of the HP10s+ and my first imprssion of the calculator, straight out of the box.

I have had feedback from Calculator Guide viewers that they get frustrated by having to press the Casio's SD button when they get a fraction answer in the first instance, prefering a decimal solution that they can round and apply in real-life situations. This calculator promises a linear display only, with a dot matrix input and a 7 segment display for answers.
