Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – An in-depth video looking at two application of forces questions and how we can use the Equation App to solve these problems. All the calculator activity is conducted in the equation application. Simultaneous equations are used to solve acceleration and tension of a system all in one. We then solve f=ma and an equation of motion using the Solver facility and stored values.

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – This video examines two ways of finding the velocity, and hence speed, of a particle when the acceleration is zero. We use the SOLVE and derivative feature on a Casio Classwiz fx-991EX and the Polynomial Solver to answer this question. You can use this technique on any calculator with these available features.

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – This video looks at two methods of changing between radians and degrees on a Casio fx-CG50 graphic calculator. The first method alters the angle unit in the SETUP menu so that all the trigonometric functions will be calculated using that angle unit. The second method is used for one-off single calculations in a different angle unit from the one that is setup.

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – In this video we look at the graphs of two functions and find the area underneath between two limits. The second example shows a mixed area, both above and below the x-axis and how the CG50 can handle this in one calculation.

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – In this video we use a kinematic equation of motion (a SUVAT equation) to help solve a problem with two unknowns. The initial speed and the acceleration of a car are unknown, so we need to setup to linear simultaneous equations to solve. Once setup, we use the simultaneous equation solver on the Casio fx-CG50 to solve these equations. However, this technique can be done using any calculator with a simultaneous equation solver, including the Casio Classwiz fx-991EX.

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – This video looks at problem solving using assistance from the Classwiz fx-991EX. Using integration we form equations for the velocity and displacement of the particle and then use the information from the question to form two linear simultaneous equations. With these, we can find the constants of integration and go on to solve further questions using these equations.

Aʙᴏᴜᴛ Tʜɪs Vɪᴅᴇᴏ – This video looks at finding the maximum height of a projectile and the horizontal distance from the starting point. There are two methods to solving this particular question. The first uses calculus to find the time when the gradient is zero and then applies that time to find the position of the ball. The second uses the polynomial solver and the shape of the graph to find the maximum height and the time it takes to get there, which is then used to find the horizontal distance.
